Tony interviews Tonya Butler-Collins, Ed.D, NSCA-CPT, LMT

Dr. Butler-Collins is the Founder and Director of Adaptive Sports and Soft Tissue Repair at Dynamics Therapeutics, a licensed Medical and Sports Massage Therapist, as well as a Senior Master Trainer with TriggerPoint™.

A fitness professional for over 20 years, she began her career in fitness as a Master Fitness Trainer in the United States Army. Dr. Butler served as a tenured professor at the University of North Georgia teaching courses in exercise science and recreation and leisure studies. As a national speaker, Dr. Butler-Collins presents for several national organizations including the NSCA-TSAC, ACSM, National Athletic Trainer Association, Disabled Sports USA, and numerous veteran conferences. She specializes in adaptive sports for wounded veterans and advanced techniques for enhancing sports performance. As the founder of Dynamic Therapeutics and Sports Performance, she works to improve the lives of wounded warriors that have survived traumatic brain injuries and/ or spinal cord injuries.

Dr. Butler-Collins will present at Medical Fitness Tour: San Francisco, “Functional Biomechanics in Special Populations”; she’ll also teach a TriggerPoint™ Level 1 Foam Rolling pre-conference workshop on the Friday before the main conference.
